A Nice Weekend -- For A Change

Friday night went out with my and Josh's new friend, Lola, along with her best friend, Bethany. We went to Loco's Pub on Lakeshore to see another friend, Jason Bradley, who plays sax in a covers band there. Jason, as some of you may recall, narrated The Three R's, the short film I was in that won best film in Alabama last fall at the film festival here in town.
We had a good time -- Bethany and I drank more than Josh and Lola, and when we came back to the apartment, she and I pretty much fell asleep on the couch while Josh and Lola watched a DVD. They woke us up around 3:30 AM.
Then yesterday afternoon I went out with a new friend, Carol, who lives in Hartselle, which is about an hour north of here. She and I ate dinner and then watched a movie at her place. I stayed overnight and came home this morning. We had a really good time and we are already planning to get together again soon.
Today Josh and I are going to mom's to take some of my stuff over there so as not to clutter up his apartment. Then tonight I don't know, we will probably just chill but you never know.
It started off as a bad weekend -- I was depressed Friday -- but good friends helped me chill out and cheer up. So thanks to all of you. The weekend, despite the stormy weather, was good for a change. I am actually in a good mood.
