Went to Carol's this past weekend and we had a great time, as usual. We took her son, Branden, to play putt putt and we played two rounds. I (of course) won both times (HA!) but while Carol and I both scored a single hole-in-one apiece, Branden managed TWO holes-in-one,which impressed us both.
I also got to briefly meet her mom and dad (she already has met my mom and stepdad) and they seem really nice. Later we goofed around with the camera, as you can see here ...

Friday Night and Dinner Time

Wellll.... not really much to say. Been working away, trying to get caught up financially. Last weekend Carol came down and her car promptly broke down, and she had to have it worked on (turned out to be her battery, which is odd cause it wasnt dead...) and this weekend I am at her place. We are about to go out and eat dinner. I really enjoy spending time with her -- you wouldn't think we would actually like being together at first glance, because we seem to be such different people on the surface. But I think beyond the surface, we are a lot alike and I think we see that, though we have never verbalized it. I just know that we really hit it off from day one and we enjoy each other's company - we accept each other for who we are. We feel very comfortable around each other and its nice to be dating someone who isn't disturbed or loopy or self -absorbed, or who is selfish to the point of being totally unbearable. She is cool. Very cool.

I am doing better -- slept on and off today, and thankfully did not vomit, but I was very groggy and had a headache from hell all day, migraine probably. I was just feeling so bad I couldnt tell, and I did manage to keep some food down.
I drove home this evening and after taking Ibuprofen and Goodies all day I finally got rid of the headache.
Never figured out what it was but I pray I am over it and I hope Carol doesnt get it. It sucked bad.

UGH - Sick

Well, I am home from work today - its seems that I got really sick this weekend, a mysterious illness. I started feeling cold like symptoms saturday, but chalked it up to allergies, and not getting enough sleep and not eating right this past week. So I came to see Carol and we had a good time Sat. I took some medicine and seemed to be getting better.
Then I woke up Sun morning dizzy, with a pounding headache... I felt nauseous, and I had no appetite. I tried to rest, eat some soup and take it easy, but it was clear halfway through the day that I was not getting better, and before long I was throwing up... I threw up several times over the course of last evening, and was on the verge of dry heaving. I couldnt even keep water down. I even developed mild chills, but that went away after I went to bed. I spent most of the evening on the couch, and poor Carol was having to take care of me. We can only guess that it is either a severe stomach virus, or (I think it could be) a mild case of food poisoning. Who knows? All I know is that there wasnt a chance I was driving home last night feeling like I did.
This morning I have a pounding headache, and I am trying to eat some soup and crackers. Hopefully this goes away today. My throat is raw with vomiting and my back and sides hurt from not only laying down all day but from convulsing over a toilet... Terrible.
